The Tarai region of Nepal boasts some of the most diverse and protected jungle parks in all of Asia. They are home to such animals as rhinos, sloth bears, crocodiles, 450 species of exotic birds and the Royal Bengal Tiger. We offer a variety of options for jungle safari trips like jungle walking, elephant riding, canoeing, bird watching, jeep safari and Tharu cultural dance program. We also explore the Tharu villages if time permits.

Chitwan National Park Introduction

 

It lies 160 K.M. south from the capital city of Kathmandu. You can take a trip there by either car or take a flight. It is one of widely acknowledge and best National park in the Asia which covers over a total area of 932 Sq. K.M. Wildlife include the greater one horn Rhinoceros, wild boar, Royal Bengal tigers Crocodiles, Sloth bears, 4 species of dears, two species of monkeys and many other animals. Wildlife Resort and Safari camps will provide food and either Lodges or tented camp on full board. Jeep Safaris and riding on the  back of an Elephant are a few of the great experiences we will have.

True to the legend of diversity of Nepal, Chitwan Safari offers a brilliant commingling of tropical wildlife ranging from wild elephants, one horned rhinos, furious tigers and the Gangetic dolphin in their natural habitat of Chitwan National Park. You can see these rare denizens of the jungle which are on the verge of extinction elsewhere in Asia. At the same time, the national park contains more than 300 varieties of birds, both residential and migratory. This park is situated amidst the tall sal forest and tropical undergrowth penetrated by the Rapti river. On a clear day, you may have a double pleasure of observing the wildlife on the ground as well as viewing the glare of the Manaslu and Himchuli peaks.

In our 2 nights/ 3 days lodge safari program in Chitwan, you also will be entertained by the local people, presenting their cultural dance program. You can extend your trip to visit the local Tharu villages and indulge in more activities there if time permits.

 

Chitwan National Park Activities

  • Ride on the back of an elephant into the jungle in hopes of spotting endangered Asian rhinoceroses, or if your lucky maybe one of the elusive big cats.
  • Take a Jeep tour through the jungle, past open meadows, and beside meandering rivers. Spotting rhinos, tigers, and other creatures of the jungle as you go.
  • Take a boat or a canoe out on the river to spot crocodiles, rhinos, and other wildlife
  • Take a jungle hike looking for birds, rhinos, and other wildlife
  • Visit the Elephant Camp and watch as the Elephants are fed and bathed
  • Take a walk through nearby villages
  • Enjoy a colorful sunset
  • After its all done enjoy a dining experience back at the lodge

 

Bardia National Park:

 

This national Park is situated southwest of Kathmandu in the Terai region. Here are more than 250 of birds, different kinds of snake and lizard and different kinds of Mammals are also survived here. The forest of national park is mainly covered by the Sal forest.
